Did those dresses with floor-length flaps worn over pants for a hostess or evening gown have a name?

I think it was in the 80′s that this was a style. Remember those evening dresses/hostess gowns with 2 flaps in the front and 2 flaps in the back, and worn over pants? Did that dress/style have a name?
