I am plus size, and I was wondering which stores had the best selection of cocktail-style dresses in plus sizes? Chain stores or department stores would be best.
I am also a plus size and have a terrible time finding clothing I like in stores. I have had great luck with catalogs. Try: Anthony Richards, Lane Bryant, J.C. Penny plus size catalogs. I have a closet full from catalogs. Their sizes are correct and the return policies are good if you don’t like it when you get it. The prices are very reasonable too. I think they all have web sites now too, but I like seeing them in the catalogs.
I will be a wedding guest soon and I have one satin cocktail dress of mocha color. Since the wedding is in November, cold… I would need some top, shawl, bolero… anything to cover my shoulders but stay elegant. It is very hard to fit anything with this color. Please, help.
I would go with either chocolate brown velvet bolero, or velvet black or another idea would be a gold shawl or bolero. Also a cream satin shawl or bolero. If you go with the gold, wear gold shoes or have satin shoes dyed to the color of the dress and wear a gold clutch bag. If you go with chocolate brown velvet bolero then go with a chocolate brown silk beaded evening bag and shoes dyed to match dress. Same with black velvet. Have shoes dyed to match dress. It will look lovely
