Do women understand that it hard to buy a cocktail dress for your wife without holding it up to yourself to?
Author: admin | Category: buy cocktail dresssee aproximately where the hem will hit? I try to do it when no one is looking but invariably sometimes get caught by a giggling woman.
Do you think they understand what I am doing?
She just looks so great in classy evening dresses, but I know about what length she is comfortable and looks her best in.
Ladies, thanks for the support, but I don’t think you fully grasp how a guy feels when a woman is giggling at him with a look that says she thinks you will be wearing the dress soon!
You pay too much attention to what people think. Who cares; are they paying for the dress or are you? Next time bring a pair of high heels and really blow their minds.

Why not just take the dress into the fitting room where no one can see you and try it on! LOL!

Probably not, but then again I haven’t seen very many men who are awesome enough to check those things or go shopping for clothing for their wife.
I really wouldn’t worry about it.

I understand the embarrassment.
Whenever go shopping for a cocktail dress, I have to hold about 5 of them up just to get it fitted around me. I don’t need a hem for any of them, I just need them all sewn together so I try to pick out 5 or 10 that compliment each other and I always get looks whenever I do this…. I would understand what you are doing, do you want to go shopping together sometime? Maybe afterward you we can get something to eat… I love hot dogs, cheeseburgers and anything fried.

I usually get a sales woman and get help and advice from her. Most of them are willing to help and even hold up the dress to themselves. I went into Frederick’s with my wife recently and had to explain why they were happy to meet her. They know me from going there 3 times a year for the last 5 years and asking for help, not from holding women’s clothing up to myself.
